Family Sessions5: Family Learn to ClimbDescriptionFamily learn to climbGet started with our Family Learn to Climb Course. One of the great things about climbing is that it doesn’t matter what your ability is or how old you are. Parents and children can enjoy exercising together, and the satisfaction from reaching the top is the same. This course suits our family audience, who would like to learn to climb together. Our Learn to Climb course is aimed at beginners. In consecutive weeks, you’ll complete four 90-minute sessions to take you through basic climbing techniques and the necessary ropework. The course covers all the climbing basics and will provide you with the skills, experience and confidence to use the roped climbing walls and the bouldering areas at The Edge safely and unsupervised. After the course After completing your course and meeting the safety standards, you will be ready to go! You can now visit The Edge Climbing outside any private bookings and go climbing unsupervised upon payment of our standard day pass fee. You can pay as you go, so you don’t need to sign up for any contracts to use the climbing wall! Cost £50pp FAQ- There is a minimum age of 7 A maximum of 2 children per paying adult. We require a minimum of 3 for the course to run. What you need to bring: please come in flexible clothes for the session along with trainers (ideally with a low midsole), sneakers, or running shoes. We also recommend that you bring a water bottle.
Birthday Party'sClimbing Birthday PartiesDescriptionBirthday Parties Are you looking for something a little different for your child's party? Then why not book a climbing party at The Edge. We can offer young people a fun, exciting time climbing with games and activities under the supervision of our centre instructors. The climbing session can be either 1 or 1.5 hours long, Suitable for age 7 years and over with a maximum group size of 12 people. We would recommend children wear clothing that they can move around in and preferably not jeans. We currently do not have an area which can be used for refreshments after (This is something we are looking into in the near future)

As part of the national curriculum - physical education in schools should provide an opportunity in KS2, KS3 and KS4 to partake in outdoor adventurous activities, so why not bring them climbing. This often allows pupils to try something completely new and offers great levels of personal challenge. During these sessions, the group has sole occupancy of the wall.
