The 54th Annual Conference of the British Association for Crystal Growth (BACG 2025) will be held at University of Leeds on Tuesday 1 – Thursday 3 July 2025.

Since its establishment in 1969 the BACG has fostered scientific and technological exchanges on both national and international levels; covering theory, practice, and evaluation of crystal growth and crystallisation.

The BACG annual conference provides a platform for scientists and engineers from academia/industry working in the field of crystallisation to explore their latest advancements, innovations and exchange ideas.

MIUA 2025 is the principal UK forum for communicating research progress within the community interested in image analysis applied to medicine and related biological science. The meeting has been designed for the dissemination and discussion of research in medical image understanding and analysis and aimed to encourage the growth and raise the profile of this multi-disciplinary field by bringing together the various communities.

The 3rd International Workshop on Calcium Sulfoaluminate Cements (CSA 2025) will be held on Monday 23 – Wednesday 25 June 2025 at the University of Leeds, UK.

Calcium sulfoaluminate (CSA) based cements are receiving increasing interest as (i) an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional cement and (ii) as they can be used to formulate mortars and concretes with special properties such as fast set, high early strength, shrinkage-compensation, waste solidification, and ion immobilisation.

This workshop will bring together researchers working on several aspects of CSA cements with the different stakeholders working with CSA-based concretes in the industry. Gathering experts from all around the world will stimulate scientific discussions and can promote national and international collaboration. We aim at exchanging state-of-the-art knowledge on several topics including: 

• Raw materials and clinkering
• Hydration mechanisms, admixtures, and fresh concrete
• Characterisation
• Durability and practice
• Applications: structural and immobilisation
• Nomenclature, standards, and protocols
