At one time, this route was a railway line from London to Manchester. Now this historic trail runs from Buxton to Bakewell, crosses high above the River Wye via the Monsal Viaduct and cuts through the Peak District hills through a series of tunnels.
We will depart by coach from the Parkinson Steps and take you by private hire coach to the Peak District. When we arrive, we will set off along the Monsal Trail. You can enjoy the beautiful sights this route has to offer, and we will finish with some free time for you in Bakewell, famous for its iconic pudding. There will be two walking route options- a shorter route for people who wish to spend more time in Bakewell and a longer walk for those wishing to explore further. Please note that the length of time to explore Bakewell will depend on which route option you pick.
