Fresh Start Festival: Explore Keswick - GOGA Walking Trip - Sunday 2nd February 2025

Keswick and Derwentwater Online Store

£5.00

Description

As part of Fresh Start Festival we will be running two exciting walking trips in collaboration with the Welcome Team!
Our second trip of the week is to Keswick!

Keswick is an ancient market town in the north of the Lake District National Park, on the shores of Derwentwater. Keswick is surrounded by breathtaking scenery, mountains and lakes. This walkers’ paradise is surrounded by picturesque valleys as well as 1,200 acres of crystal-clear water and a bustling town to enjoy.

Please note each person will be limited to one discounted ticket across both trips during Fresh Start Festival. Please choose one trip: either the Monsal Trail or Keswick.

Detailed Description

After exploring the varied terrain, we will lead you back to Keswick where you will have some free time to explore some of the shops and cafes that the Cumbrian town has to offer.

Please note that the length of time to explore Keswick town will depend on which route option you pick. Both routes will see the sites of Keswick and Derwentwater, including plenty of scenic views and sightseeing!

Important note: This can be a more strenuous walk with some steep sections along rough mountain paths, leading up to the lake. You will need good outdoor walking shoes or strong trainers (you don’t mind getting muddy) plus a layer of waterproof clothing. You will also need a spare pair of shoes for after the walk, and a bag for your muddy boots/trainers.
