Day 1: Thursday 11^th March 2027

Session 1: Introduction to Complex Interventions and Process Evaluation.

• Overview of complex interventions and associated terminology ​

• Process evaluation approaches at different stages of intervention development//evaluation ​

Session 2: Approaches to Process Evaluation and Logic Models

• Using process evaluation to unpack how the intervention works in practice ​

• Programme theory and logic models

 Day 2: Wednesday 17^th March 2027

Session 3: Intervention implementation

• Why intervention implementation in trials is important

• How to measure implementation

Session 4: Practical application – consolidate your skills through building up a practical example

• In groups work-up the aims, logic model & methods for a study area agreed by each group
• Group feedback and opportunity to learn about studies in different contexts. 

The course is suitable for early career and experienced clinical and post-doc researchers, who require methodological process evaluation knowledge to complement existing research skills.
