Yorkshire Year of the Textile 2016-17 was a celebration both of Yorkshire’s textile heritage, and of the innovative practice of contemporary artists across a wide range of forms. Participating artists and poets came together to produce works in which the connecting threads of past and present, individual practice and collaboration, are strongly interwoven. The juxtaposition of image and text in this volume seeks to capture something of their creative energy.
