BadmintonActive Campus BadmintonDescriptionBadminton Our badminton sessions are a great way to take an active break on campus and meet other people. The badminton sessions are inclusive of all abilities whether you have played before or not. All University of Leeds staff and students are welcome to join these sessions. The sessions will be led by one of our activators, and will involve drills, games and singles and doubles matchplay for all levels. Wednesday 12-12:45pm @ The Gryphon Sport center Please speak to reception on arrival who will direct you if you are unsure where to go. You don’t need any special kit, and all equipment will be provided (but feel free to bring your own racquet if you have one). Wear trainers and comfortable clothing. We also recommend bringing some water. Showers and lockers are available on site. Please note there will be no sessions on the following dates:
ClimbingActive Campus Staff and Student BoulderingDescriptionJoin our coach-led bouldering sessions designed for all skill levels, experiences and abilities. Whether starting out or looking to improve specific techniques, these sessions offer support and guidance. It's a great way to meet fellow climbers and be part of the climbing community at The Edge! This session will show you the basics of bouldering, which is climbing a short height with crash mats underneath. You will also learn about climbing movement skills, helping you complete some of our graded climbing routes with style. Climbing is a fantastic full-body workout, so be prepared to challenge yourself physically and mentally! Thursdays 12:15-13:15 pm @ The Edge Climbing Wall You don’t need any special kit – just wear trainers and something you’re comfortable in. Please tie up long hair and remove jewellery for the session. We recommend bringing some water. There are water fountains available at The Edge. Showers and lockers are also available.

Whether starting out or looking to improve specific techniques, these sessions offer support and guidance. It's a great way to meet fellow climbers and be part of the climbing community at The Edge! This session will show you the basics of roped climbing, which involves using ropes and a harness to support your climbing keeping you safe while on the wall. You will also learn about climbing movement skills, helping you complete some of our graded climbing routes with style. PickleballActive Campus PickleballDescriptionPickleball Pickleball is a sport that combines the fun of tennis, badminton and table tenis, making it a unique and engaging game for all experience levels. The sport is played with paddles on a Badminton-sized court but with a low net, and is often played as doubles with two players on each team. Tuesday 5pm-5:55pm @ The Gryphon Sport Center Please speak to reception on arrival who will direct you if you are unsure where to go. You don’t need any special kit or equipment - this is all provided. Just wear trainers and something you’re comfortable in.
