‘RUN THE LOOP’ 2.5KM FAMILY FUN CHALLENGE @BROWNLEE CENTRE

A young boy running at the brownlee centre

£5.00

Description

Sunday 16th June
The Brownlee Centre
11.30am

Detailed Description

Join us for the University of Leeds family fun challenge event in June: run, jog, toddle, walk or wheel 2.5km on our closed circuit. Everyone is welcome at this event! Entry is just £5 per person and includes a medal and a sweet treat at the finish line, with all profits going towards equipment, tools and bikes for our international sport development project in South Africa.

On the day you’ll be met at the registration desk by our friendly team of staff and volunteers. Registration opens at 10.30am. Once registered you’re ready to go around our 2.5km course in your own way – sprinting, running, jogging, walking, toddling or wheeling (buggies, wheelchairs and walkers are welcome). This event is not timed – it is aimed at getting everyone active together for a great cause! However, if you would like to record your achievement, you can add your time to our leaderboard.

2.5km is roughly 1.5 laps of our completely closed, safe, traffic free tarmac cycle circuit. You’ll pass under the Olympic Bridge with music keeping you going on course. All finishers will receive a medal and a sweet treat!

Parking is available on site and nearby at our Bodington football hub site, and the Lawnswood Cemetary. Our Brownlee Centre café will also be open for drinks, cakes and snacks after the event. Toilets and changing facilities are available on site.

Book your place now – we have a maximum of 250 places available for this event!
