DescriptionThis second annual conference of the ESRC Vulnerability & Policing Futures Research Centre provides an opportunity for academics, practitioners, policy makers and communities to work together to share ideas and forge plans for tangibly improving the policies, systems and processes which impact upon people considered vulnerable, reducing harm in their interactions with policing and related services. There will be two keynote speaker sessions, a plenary policy panel, and over 15 workshop sessions on a range of topics including the future of neighbourhood policing, women’s safety in public spaces, improving the police and policy response to modern slavery, preventing harm among vulnerable people, and the use of diversion for adults with vulnerabilities, among many others.
