Active Campus Fitness Classes

Active Campus terms and conditions:

  • If after payment a participant cannot attend for any reason, including illness or injury, the participant will only be entitled to a refund if 24 hours or more notice is given via email (activecampus@leeds.ac.uk). In the event of less than 24 hours’ notice given, a refund will not be provided. This condition may be subject to change.
  • Active Campus sessions operate with a minimum requirement of 3 or more participants per session. If there are less than 3 participants booked, we reserve the right to cancel the session. A refund will be processed in these circumstances. This condition may be subject to change.
  • In the event of unforeseen circumstances e.g. instructor illness or facility related issues, we reserve the right to make amendments to the session (e.g. substitute the instructor, change the location) or cancel the session. If a cancellation occurs, a full refund will be issued.
  • Please note that any inappropriate behaviour or failure to follow instructions provided by the activity instructor will not be tolerated and will result in appropriate action.

Active Campus Staff Spin

Description

Staff 30-minute spin

Come and join this 35-minute spin class which is a great introduction to indoor cycling. All University of Leeds staff are welcome to join these sessions which will be led by Michelle and Patrick teaching alternate weeks.

 

Wednesdays 5:00-5:35pm in the spin studio at The Edge. Please speak to reception on arrival, who will direct you.

 

You don’t need to have tried spin before; the session caters for all experience and fitness levels. Michelle and Patrick will motivate you and help you find your spinning flow to classic tunes from the 80s, 90s and 00s. You’ll raise your heart rate and your endorphin levels!

 

You don’t need any special kit – just wear trainers and something you’re comfortable in. We recommend bringing a bottle of water and you might like to bring a towel. Showers and lockers are available at The Edge.

 

Please not a register will be given to session leaders 15min before th class time. If you book after this please bring proof of booking! Please also try to arrive 5 minutes before the start time so the teachers have time to familiarise you with the bike.

Active Campus Les Mills Pilates for Strength, Mobility and Happiness

Description

Les Mills Pilates Class

Magical choreography, hypnotic music, and the latest exercise science. A 45-minute mind-body workout designed to improve strength, mobility and happiness.
Slow, simple movements tone your abs, glutes, back, and hips. Expert guidance builds technique and control. Modern breathwork creates renewal and bliss.

Traditional Pilates meets the Les Mills experience, leaving you feeling strong, uplifted, and calm.

Fridays 6:15pm-7:00pm in The Edge, Room G24.  Reception staff will direct you upon arrival.

Please wear trainers and something you’re comfortable in. We recommend bringing a bottle of water and you might like to bring a towel.
