Calisthenics (staff only)Active Campus Les Mills Body Balance (Staff Only)DescriptionActive Campus Les Mills Body Balance (Staff Only) Les Mills Body Balance is a yoga-based fitness class that combines elements of yoga, Tai Chi, and Pilates to improve flexibility, core strength, and overall well-being. Ideal for anyone and everyone! You can expect to bend and stretch through a series of simple yoga moves, elements of Tai Chi and Pilates. Thursdays 12:15-1:00pm at the studio in the The Staff Wellbeing Hub. Please wear trainers and something you’re comfortable in. We recommend bringing a bottle of water and you might like to bring a towel.
Active Campus Staff CalisthenicsDescriptionIntroduction to Calisthenics Join us for this introduction to Calisthenics class. No previous experience is required, this is designed for beginners. Calisthenics is a form of strength training that utlises an individual's bodyweight as resistance to perform multi joint compound movements with little or no equipment. It relies on bodyweight for resistance which naturally adapts to an individual's unique physical attributes. This allows calisthenics exercsies to be personalised and accessible for various body structures and age ranges. Tuesdays 1:15-2pm at the studio in the Staff Wellbeing Hub. You don’t need any special kit – just wear trainers and something you’re comfortable in. We recommend bringing a bottle of water with you.
Spin (staff only)Active Campus Staff SpinDescriptionStaff 30-minute spin Come and join this 30-minute spin class which is a great introduction to indoor cycling. All University of Leeds staff are welcome to join these sessions which will be led by Michelle and Patrick teaching alternate weeks.
Wednesdays 5:00-5:30pm in the spin studio at The Edge. Please speak to reception on arrival, who will direct you.
You don’t need to have tried spin before; the session caters for all experience and fitness levels. Michelle and Patrick will motivate you and help you find your spinning flow to classic tunes from the 80s, 90s and 00s. You’ll raise your heart rate and your endorphin levels!

Please try to arrive 5 minutes before the start time so the teachers have time to familiarise you with the bike.
HyroxActive Campus Hyrox Training ClassDescriptionLearn how to Hyrox Take your fitness to the next level with our Hyrox training class - a dynamic workout combining functional movements, cardio intervals, and strength training for a full-body fitness experience. Designed for all ability levels, this class focuses on improving strength, stamina, and overall conditioning through a mix of exercises (including ski-erg, row, runs, wall balls, burpees, lunges, farmer's carries and sled pushes). No previous experience is required. Whether you’re training for an official Hyrox event or just want a full-body challenge, our coaches will guide you through a fun, high-energy session that leaves you feeling stronger and fitter. Thursday 5:40-6:20pm in The Edge, Hall 2. Reception staff will direct you upon arrival. You don’t need any special kit – just wear trainers and exercise clothing you are comfortable in. Les Mills PilatesActive Campus Les Mills Pilates for Strength, Mobility and HappinessDescriptionLes Mills Pilates Class Magical choreography, hypnotic music, and the latest exercise science. A 45-minute mind-body workout designed to improve strength, mobility and happiness. Traditional Pilates meets the Les Mills experience, leaving you feeling strong, uplifted, and calm. Shapes (staff only)Active Campus Shapes (Staff Only)DescriptionShapes class (Staff Only) An invigorating blend of Pilates, barre, and power yoga set to modern beats. With small, controlled movements, you sculpt and strengthen all major muscle groups, improve alignment and increase flexibility. Aimed at those who want a full body, dynamic workout suitable for all fitness and ability levels. Keywords are strength and flexibility with minimal impact on joints. You don't need to have tried Shapes before to take part, the instructors will always provide options for those just getting started. Tuesdays 5:30-6:30pm in The Edge.
