Active Campus for StaffThe Sport and Physical Activity Service (SPA) welcome you to take part in our ACTIVE CAMPUS programme for university staff and postgraduate researchers. It’s a great way to move your body, have fun and meet new people from across the university. You don't need to have an Edge membership to participate! ACTIVE CAMPUS activities include; Badminton, Run club, Les Mills Shapes, Beginners Spin, Netball, Strength Training, Pilates, Climbing and more! We have listened to feedback from last semester, as well as results from our Balancing Life Survey, and have used this to shape our current ACTIVE CAMPUS timetable. With the UK Corporate Games just around the corner, this is the perfect opportunity to dust off the trainers and start to get active! Understanding how fluid and ever-changing work diaries can be, we now have weekly ‘drop in’ sessions which don’t require a commitment to attend every week (although we’d love it if you can!) We also have short courses in Beginners Pilates and Women’s Strength Training that are a great introduction to these activities and will offer progression over the 4-6 weeks. These courses will run at the same time each week and are a great way to meet new people and learn new skills together! The sessions vary in duration and time of day to suit as many staff members as possible. All levels and abilities are welcome! Please take a look at our timetable below. STAFF ACTIVE CAMPUS
STAFF POSTURE SESSIONS Are you struggling with your posture? Do you regularly experience aches and pains? Don’t forget, if you want to add a little movement to your day but don’t have time to attend a full activity session, we also have our online and face to face STAFF POSTURE sessions running every week. The online sessions are just 15minutes long and are also recorded so you can access them at a time and day to suit you! You can find out more information about these HERE or join our MS TEAMS Staff Posture group.
