Detailed Description

Keswick is situated in the north of Derwentwater lake and is often referred to as the “Adventure Capital of the Lake District”. This walkers’ paradise is surrounded by picturesque valleys as well as 1,200 acres of crystal-clear water.

After exploring the varied terrain, we will lead you back to Keswick where you will have some free time to explore some of the shops and cafes that the Cumbrian town has to offer.

Important note: This can be a more strenuous walk with some steep sections along rough mountain paths, leading up to the lake. You will need good outdoor walking shoes or strong trainers (you don’t mind getting muddy) plus a layer of waterproof clothing. You will also need a spare pair of shoes for after the walk, and a bag for your muddy boots/trainers.
