24ITS03 ITS Masters Summer trip

The ITS Masters Summer trip to The Netherlands and Belgium is set to depart from the Parkinson Steps at 08:30AM on Sunday 9th June 2024, returning Friday 14th June. We will be based in Utrecht and take visits to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, The Hague and Brussels. We will travel by ferry (Newcastle-Amsterdam), by train, by coach and will use the Eurostar to return to the UK. Along the way we will be given talks and demonstrations by transportation professionals and experience first-hand how The Netherlands has embraced active travel to create a radically different system for the provision of urban mobility. The trip is a great opportunity to experience first-hand some of the transportation good practice as taught through the Masters programme. It is also a joyous culmination of the ITS Masters experience and a great opportunity to spend time with your course-mates prior to beginning the dissertation proper. The trip will cost £550 and this will include all travel, accommodation, breakfast each day plus evening meals on the first and second nights, and entrance to all activities. Payment will be made in three instalments, one of £120 (deposit) followed by two payments of £215. There are 92 student places available on the trip, and to secure one of these pay the £120 deposit now*. * IMPORTANT: Please note that normally the deposit payment is non-refundable if you later change your mind about participating in the trip. The only exceptions to this rule are if you are unable to obtain a visa through no fault of your own, you have a personal emergency or medical problem, or if someone else is on the waitlist and can take your place on the trip.
