Detailed Description
This two-day workshop held in University House on the University of Leeds campus will be launched with a keynote by one of the world’s leading migration scholars, Professor Brenda Yeoh from National University of Singapore. The workshop is designed to promote discussion with a global network of migration researchers, showcasing nine ongoing research projects across the University with a migration theme:
· Migration, exploitation and sanctuary
· Working in warehouses
· Seasonal migrant workers
· Skills4Justice
· LIMITS – post Brexit migration
· Migration and human supply chains
· The making of forced abour
· ASEAN labour migration
· Detention economies
There will be opportunities for networking to encourage developing further transnational collaboration in migration research.
