www.getoutgetactive.ac.uk

Detailed Description

This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to enhance their cooking skills and understand how to get the nourishment they need from a plant-based diet. By the end of the session you will know more about how to source protein and essential vitamins and minerals from this diet, and have a better understanding of how you can reduce your meat intake whilst still consuming a balanced and tasty diet.

Whether you're a current vegetarian/vegan or a meat eater looking for alternative meal ideas, everyone is welcome! You will be shown how to make some delicious sweet and savoury vegan dishes and then you have the opportunity to have a go at cooking them yourself.

If you are planning on attending the event and have any allergies or dietary requirements please make the team aware prior to the session by emailing: [email protected].

Date & Time
Thursday 14th November, 15:00-18:00.

Location
The School of Food Science and Nutrition building (opposite Roger Stevens pond). Please wait in the reception area and you will be escorted to the Food Technology Lab by one of our Get Out, Get Active volunteers.

Cost
£6.50.

If you need to pay by cash please contact the team: [email protected].

What you need to bring
