Detailed Description

We will walk along some of the many rivers, covering differing terrain and offering incredible views across the lake and towards many of the surrounding country houses. The trip will offer two walking options- there will be a shorter walk for those wanting to take the walk at a slower pace and a longer walk for those looking to explore some more of the hiking options in this beautiful setting.

There will be some free time after the walk to visit the many cafes and shops located on the shores of Lake Windermere. Please note that the length of time to explore the shops and cafes will depend on which route option you pick.

We will depart by coach from the Parkinson Steps at 08:30 returning at approximately 18:30. We would like to emphasise the need for good outdoor walking shoes or strong trainers (you don’t mind getting muddy) plus a layer of waterproof clothing.
