Get Out Get Active is offering a great opportunity to access an affordable climbing experience with expert instruction at one of Yorkshire's finest outdoor venues.

Suitable for both beginners and more advanced climbers.

Detailed Description

The beautiful Almscliff Crag offers equally appropriate levels of challenges to suit beginners and more advanced climbers with innumerable climbing styles and tastes.

This will be a great experience of outdoor climbing with expert guidance from one of our fantastic Edge instructors.

There will be some bouldering to begin with then ropes on different routes that vary in difficulty, to suit both those with no previous climbing experience, and those who have tried it before or have experience indoors.

The session will last 2 hours and the trip will run from 12:30 until 17:00

For this you will get:

• Transport to and from the venue
• Expert climbing instruction
• Hire of helmet and climbing shoes (we will contact you for shoe sizes)

Meeting point & time:

Meet at 12:15 outside the Edge sports centre.

What you need to bring:

You will need comfortable clothing plus a warmer layer and a waterproof layer in case of inclement weather. Please bring your own refreshments e.g. a packed lunch and a drink. 

Please note:

When booking a place for this event, the named participant is making a commitment to attend the event. If after payment a participant cannot attend for any reason including illness, injury and emergencies, the participant will not be entitled to a refund. The event organiser will be as accommodating as possible if the participant cannot attend and will deal with cases on an individual basis up to one week before the event. We advise that in the event of the named candidate not being able to attend that they find a replacement to take their position on the course and notify the event organiser at least one week before the date of the event. No changes can be made within one week of the event.
