24ITS05 ITS Masters Student Day Trip to Nottingham and The Peak District (9th of July)

Peak District Field Trip

Enjoy an educational day trip to Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire. In the morning we will visit the city of Nottingham for talks from transport planners working at Nottingham City Council on both the Workplace Parking Levy that they operate in the city (a push measure) and on the development of the Nottingham NET integrated Bus and Tram system (a pull measure). These two measures complement each other to encourage sustainable mobility in the city. After a break we will then visit Parsley Hay in the Peak District for some leisure cycling along the course of an old railway line which is now a popular cycle path.

The trip will depart at 08:00 on Tuesday 9th July from the Parkinson Steps, and will return to Leeds by around 19:00 in the evening of the same day.

Detailed Description

*This trip is only open to ITS Masters students plus those students from the School of Engineering who previously signed up for the summer trip to The Netherlands.
